One of Nike SB‘s first Australian skaters, the late Lewis Marnell dominated the Melbourne and worldwide skate scene before his tragic passing from complications with diabetes in January of 2013. Now, five years later, Nike SB is paying homage to this legend by releasing a special edition Marnell-inspired rendition of the Dunk mid.
We are honored to be stocking this tribute edition in our store and it will be released online and in store 18th January.
“Lewis skated Dunks all the time. He made them look so fresh, that we all wanted to own them so we could look the same,” remembers Shane O’Neill.
In honor of Lewis and what he meant to the skate community and Nike SB family, Nike has made a donation to a non-profit foundation for the benefit of diabetes research.
